In recent years, Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride or uPVC doors and windows have become popular and are being used widely in homes because it remains unaltered in rains and are fully shrink proof. The uPVC doors and windows are great addition to any home.

Why use uPVC ?

Cost effective maintenance

uPVC’s need light cleaning of any glazed areas and an occasional wipe down of all other areas as needed. uPVC windows and doors require minimal maintenance. One need not bear the expense of regular painting and high cost maintenance in the case of uPVC windows and doors. A wooden window or door looks for sanding, warping and regular painting. uPVC windows are highly economical as compared to aluminium or wood windows and doors.

Rot resistant

uPVC does not rot and is resistant to corrosion. Wood can swell and rot and aluminium and steel can corrode and have galvanic reaction to the fasteners. uPVC does not  rot, flake, rust, fade, peel or corrode. uPVC windows and doors remain unaffected in almost all types of weather and have great resistance against air, water, storm, strong sunlight, etc.

Sound absorbent

uPVC windows and doors act as excellent barriers for outdoor noise and disturbing sounds, offering comfortable living and also help in maintaining the privacy by restricting the indoor sound within the room. Wood is known for absorbing sound but it fails if we talk about blocking echo within and providing good sound dampening. uPVC makes them a convenient choice for homeowners living close to busy roads, schools or nightlife venues.

Thermal insulation

uPVC windows and doors have excellent thermal insulation properties. It keeps home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. UPVC prevents thermal bridging thereby preventing condensation. This is an interesting element because wooden windows and doors do not provide this benefit to any extent.

Durability

uPVC is unaffected by temperature and resistant to ageing, corrosion and sea water. Therefore uPVC windows and doors are highly durable and remain same for years. It is an exceedingly durable material, which is one of the reasons for its popularity in the industry. The strength served by uPVC is extra-ordinary, resulting in excellent performance over decades. Qualities and appearance are stable even after years of external use unlike wood.

Aesthetics

The beauty experienced through the uPVC windows during rain, wind and sea is always a spectacular view to the eye. Wooden or any other opaque window and door is a big hindrance in enjoying the weather around.

Hygiene

uPVC windows and doors brilliantly resist wind. These are ideal for structures that are close to sea or areas facing strong winds and heavy rain fall. uPVC windows and doors can take extreme wind pressure without being affected. It means safety from dust, bacteria, pollution, etc.

Maximum water tightness

uPVC windows and doors serve notable water tightness ensuring zero incoming of rain and water filling between the joints. Wood, when comes in contact with water expands and we are pretty familiar with the odour it produces due to the moisture it absorbs.

Eco-friendly

uPVC does not require natural resources for its manufacturing. Unlike its substitute wood and timber, uPVC does not promote deforestation. It is eco-friendly because of its sourcing and recyclability. uPVC windows and doors can be – and are – recycled at the end of life.

Fire resistant

These windows and doors are fire resistant and are fire proof in the case of fire accidents. They won’t work as oil like wood if a fire breaks out. It serves as fire resistant material.

Energy efficient

Window Magic uPVC profiles are multi chambered section, provided with unique double seal mechanism, multi point locking system and good combination of glass, makes the window perfectly sealed and thereby reduces loss of energy.
