What are the latest products and solutions offered by the company?

Bhajjanka is doing very well with its product line since the last few years. Apart from our regular products like PU screen panels, hydrocyclones and other polyurethane products, we could penetrate the market with our new product also, like slurry pumps, belt cleaning solutions, vibromotors etc.

Our new product lines are developed keeping in mind the requirement for both our verticals of mining and construction industry. The demand for pumps to be supplied along with the cyclones as a set has risen quite well and both the products are being accepted as standard equipment by most OEMs for sand washing plants in our country.

How do you look at the demand trend for your products?

The demand trend for our products looks good. Even last year after the lockdown, there was a sudden jump in demand as was predicted in the industry. The demand for sand is expected to grow as from the experience of the pandemic, the need of infrastructure development in our country is evident. Government of India (GoI) is very actively making huge investments in this sector and also provide infrastructure for medical services across the country.

We believe that many sectors are in for an unusual fast economic growth after Covid-19 and the GDP is expected to bounce back. Make in India scheme by the GoI has been very beneficial for us. It has connected very well with our people and the acceptability of the Made-in-India products in private as well as public sector industry has been phenomenal. This in turn has made us more positive towards making investments and being optimistic about the future. The fund flow from the banks has improved and it has resulted in a win-win

situation for all.

How are you meeting the customer expectations of your range of products?

Understanding our customer requirement and expectation is at the heart of Bhajjanka family. We work very closely with our OEMs and end-users to understand the performance of our products on the field and whether any changes are needed to improve the efficiency of our products.

By working closely with our buyers, the development for the next-gen models for our equipment and improvement for the current models becomes easy. We are also actively making dealers and hiring warehouses for making our products available all over the country.

What are your future plans on product and business expansions?

Apart from our current line of products, we have also started a new fabrication unit, a first of its kind in eastern India with all modern facilities of CNC cutters, shot blasting painting rollers, and machining facility in-house. We plan to contributing and putting our resources into working towards building equipment for waste management and construction and demolition (C&D) industry.

Recycling and segregation of waste is the need of the hour and it is important that we need to be serious about dumping the wastes in the open and reaching these wastes into rivers and ocean. Apart from the new product lines, we are also looking forward to implementing new techniques to improve the current products.

Can you elaborate on the recycling of waste for construction applications?

Today, due to the huge investment happening in construction and infrastructure sector, the C&D waste has become a huge burden adding to the ever-increasing dry waste being generated from every household.

Debris is generated during the construction, renovation and demolition of buildings, roads, and bridges. It consists mostly of inert and non-biodegradable materials such as concrete, plaster, metal, wood, plastics etc. A part of this waste comes to the municipal stream. These wastes are heavy, having high density and often bulky, and occupy considerable storage space either on the road or common waste bin/container. It is not uncommon to see huge piles of such waste, stacked on roads especially in large projects, resulting in traffic congestion and disruption.

Waste from small generators like individual house construction or demolition, find its way into the nearby municipal bin/vat/waste storage depots, making the municipal waste heavy and degrading its quality for further treatment like composting or energy recovery.

Recycling of waste will help in close the demand-supply gap of aggregate industry. Concrete and masonry waste can be recycled by sorting, crushing and sieving into recycled aggregate. This recycled aggregate can be used to make concrete for road construction and building materials. While retrievable items such as bricks, wood, metal, and tiles are recycled, the concrete and masonry waste, accounting for more than 50 percent of the waste from construction and demolition activities, are not being currently recycled in India. Recycling of concrete and masonry waste is, however, being done in countries like the UK, USA, France, Denmark, Germany and Japan.
