Participation at Excon
Excon is one of the first and largest exhibitions in the past few years since Covid and everyone is both optimistic and thrilled about it. Moreover, the footfall reflects enthusiasm. We met a significant number of existing and new clients.
Products and solutions
We showcased a range of product line at Excon 2022 including elastomer and plastic material. HiMod® Strut Bearing is one of our latest products with the High load bearings capacity. These are injection moulded and Precision Machine tubing, primarily used for dumper suspension applications. These bearings reduce the equipment weight while maintaining load requirements, further resulting in energy and fuel savings.
Another innovative product that we are showcasing is Turcon® Roto L and Roto SG Seal. They are engineered to extend the lifetime of Central Tire Inflation Systems (CTIS) by lowering friction, also saving energy and fuel. This is achieved by only sealing when it is required during tire pressure adjustment. So, while the vehicle is moving, the tyre pressure is adjusted based on the terrain. The highlight of this product is that it has a strong market in India.
Strategy for the Indian market
Trelleborg’s policy has always been global and local. With a global presence in more than 50 countries, we aim at introducing global innovations to the local market. Every area has a local sales staff that can provide customers with the most up-to-date global information. Off-highway, construction, mining, agricultural, and aeronautics are all areas where Trelleborg has a strong presence in India. We are attempting to enter the Indian healthcare market, despite the fact that Trelleborg is widely known in the worldwide healthcare, food, and beverage industries. They are still gaining traction in India.
Digital transformations
We have applications and digital versions for every possible product application that our engineers and clients may utilise. This encompasses product selection, group selection, and even software compatibility. We also work with AR and VR so that the customer operating from the office may see our facility from their remote location and doesn’t have to pay a physical visit for meetings. For most of our clients, we’ve established a self-service platform where they can log in and place orders directly. In a nutshell, it’s a completely digital transaction.
India is seen as a good investment destination for Trelleborg group. We’ve developed significantly here, both in terms of sales and production. We are also planning to establish an R&D facility in the coming year. In addition, our manufacturing plant is undergoing significant growth.
