A lot have been spoken about the concerns of need of water conservation. Many eminent organisations are working towards it. However, a lot is yet to be done! Every person need to understand the gravity of this issue. Today every individual should take it as personal goal to save water.

India on one hand is making significant progress to become one of the top economic giants in the world. But on the other hand many people, not only in rural but in urban areas, are deprived from regular supply of fresh drinking water. Many health and global organisations have funded projects for supply of fresh water to every household customer. In many developed countries having a fresh water supply is treated as fundamental right of every citizen.

Now, the government has rightly adapted the same principal and started in this direction. Now it is every citizen’s prime responsibility to use the water judiciously. It is right approach taken by government to charge each house connection with nominal charges which will help to maintain high standards of water supply preferably on 24×7 principal. It is proven that supply of fresh water on 24×7 helps to reduce the water consumption than supply it for limited period.

However there is a long way to go to provide drinkable water to each and every house hold. Now every individual, industrial organisation should come forward to help government to achieve this as their social responsibility.

Today, it is the responsibility of every industrial organisation to actively involve in the efforts of various community welfare activities. It is very encouraging to see that number of industrial organisations is taking keen interest in Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) and making efforts to help community to reduce the pain areas if not completely dissolve it. Many more such industrial organisation should come forward and take their share in shouldering many responsibilities which will surely help to make this country and this globe a better place.
