Liugong India, a leading manufacturer of construction and heavy machinery, recently announced its entry into the mining and electric wheel loader segments at Bauma Conexpo India 2023, held in Greater Noida. The new range of equipment launched by Liugong India consists of large excavators, dump trucks, hydrostatic wheel loaders, motor graders, and dozers, designed to work in arduous and tough Indian operating conditions in the most demanding of applications.

Nischal Mehrotra, Vice President (Sales and Marketing) of Liugong India, said that India is going to be a growth driver for the world in the coming decades, and much of this growth will come from infrastructure development in the country. He also mentioned that large-scale infrastructure development will require larger and more productive machines and this new range of equipment addresses that need. Projects such as Bharatmala, Sagarmala, new ports, and logistic hubs will create greater opportunities in the future.

Liugong India’s new mining range is the result of the feedback received from its customers who wanted a robust fuel system. The machines are designed to work in demanding site conditions and deliver higher productivity and equipment uptime. These machines are capable of performing large-scale earthwork applications, quarries, and mining applications.

The 975EXD is a 75-tonne machine powered by a Cummins 524hp, 2373Nm torque engine with an electronically controlled direct injection system. The 965EXD is a 62.6-tonne machine powered by a Scania 444hp, 2007Nm torque engine with an electronically controlled direct injection system. The DW105A dump truck has a gross horsepower of 480kW, 552HP@1900rpm, and a payload capacity of 70 tons. The 886HST hydrostatic wheel loader is powered by a Cummins 322hp engine and has a payload capacity of 8 tons. The 4215D motor grader is powered by a Yuchai 217hp engine and has an operating weight of 16.4 tons and a blade length of 3960mm. The LD20 dozer is powered by a Cummins 206hp, 1000Nm engine with an operating weight of 19 tons.

Liugong India has a network of 25 dealers and over 100 touchpoints across India, with over 500 service engineers employed at these dealerships for professional product support. Liugong India’s advanced Telematics Technology, ilink, provides live updates on the service, operations, and security of the machines.

In addition to the mining range, Liugong India also unveiled its electric wheel loader, the 856HEMax, at Bauma Conexpo India 2023. The 5.8-ton payload capacity machine was unveiled by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India. With its state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery technology, the Liugong battery-powered wheel loader offers equal or greater performance than its diesel-powered equivalents. The battery systems deliver high energy density, have a long service life, and require no routine maintenance. They provide about eight hours of continuous runtime and require just 70 minutes for a full charge. The 856HEMax’s electric power system contributes to an exceptional operator experience with drastically reduced noise and vibration, which both operators and job site bystanders will appreciate. The machine supports environmentally sensitive work sites with zero emissions and allows users to operate where diesel exhaust is restricted. Because they are quiet, this wheel loader can be operated at all hours of the day, even in dense urban areas where noise can limit work hours.
