In the article below, exhibitors and leaders from the roofing industry share their focus during the Roof India Expo, which serves as a platform to meet their clients, customers, and distributors in the construction and roofing sector.
First up, we have Dharmendra Dhari from Skipper Blooms India Incorporation, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with over a decade of experience in beautifying building exteriors in different cities of India. They import and distribute leading brands and their own OEM brands in roofing, cladding, and landscaping products from across the globe. Dharmendra says their focus during the Roof India Expo is pre-fab buildings, wooden houses, and allied products featuring the latest energy-efficient and sustainable roofing and cladding materials and solutions beautifying the exterior.
Next, we have Alok Kumar, Business Development Manager, DION Incorporation, the largest manufacturer of DION ASA/UPVC SHEET, an anti-corrosion sheet. Alok says their focus during the Roof India Expo is to support industries where corrosion remains critical. DION uPVC sheets offer an optimal choice for roofing and cladding, replacing conventional asbestos, metal G.I. sheets, fibreglass, and ceramic tile sheets. They provide heat insulation, sound insulation, water resistance, chemical and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, and fire retardation, and they are eco-friendly. They are easy to install and move, lightweight, and cost-effective.
Madhusudan Mandhana, Managing Director of Mandhana Polymers Pvt. Ltd., states that their primary objective during the Roof India EXPO 2023 is to promote their newly developed waterproofing membrane product. He mentions that water leakage is a significant issue, particularly in coastal areas of India where heavy rainfall occurs, and terrace flats are especially vulnerable. Traditional waterproofing methods like brickbat Coba, bitumen coating, and chemical coating do not provide the lifespan promised by contractors, leaving customers with no choice but to bear the consequences, including interior damage. Furthermore, these coatings become hazardous since their disposal becomes an issue after usage.
During the show, Anamika Gulati, Executive Vice President of Renewables – SG Ornate, wants to showcase their new revolutionary concept of an integrated solar roof. Anamika believes showcasing their new product is vital since they have entered into renewables, and solar energy is the future. She mentions that steel/metal is the primary material used for commercial and industrial roofing systems, and producing one tonne of steel generates 1.85 MT of carbon footprint. She hopes replacing metal sheet roofing with solar panels will contribute significantly to the green environment.
On the other hand, Aslam Logade, Founder & Partner of Zara P Care, will promote their upcoming innovation, the CRP-FLR solution for concrete restoration and rehabilitation. The dedicated team of researchers and years of hands-on experience have enabled them to develop a fully comprehensive CRP-FLR solution for restoring and rehabilitating concrete floors within four hours. The product is a self-levelling, two-component product specially developed for repairing cracks and damage in floors and roofs. The product can harden within four to five hours, and the surface is ready for use with full load capacity. The abrasion resistance of the product has already been verified and tested in more than 50 places, which is better than the real floor material.
The event will also feature live product demonstrations and hands-on workshops, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the latest roofing technologies and products firsthand. Additionally, the expo will host various networking events, enabling participants to connect with other professionals in the industry and forge new business relationships.
The inaugural event will also feature over 200 exhibitors and brands from 12+ countries, with over 10,000 people expected to attend. Leading trade organisations such as the Builders Association of India (BAI-MC), The Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association (CCMA), the Architects, Engineers, and Surveyors’ Association (AESA), the Safety Appliances Manufacturers Association (SAMA), and the World Metal Forum (WMF) are supporting the event.
