DION uPVC sheets offer an optimal choice for roofing and cladding, replacing conventional asbestos, metal G.I. sheets, fiberglass sheets, and ceramic tile sheets. They provide heat insulation, sound insulation, water resistance, chemical and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, fire retardation, and are eco-friendly. They are easy to install, move, lightweight, and costeffective.

As a developing country and leading manufacturer of chemical and pharmaceutical products, DION has 85 percent of its clients from these industries and is looking for more demand in the near future.

What are the key features of your roofing products and solutions offered?
This building material is environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and recyclable. It provides effective heat and sound insulation and is lightweight, weighing only 3.5 kg per square meter. It is cost-effective, noncarcinogenic, and has high utilisation efficiency. The DION sheets have excellent load-bearing performance, are corrosionresistant, and have good water resistance. Lastly, the material is flame retardant and made of polyvinyl chloride resin.

What are the difficulties in matching cost differences while meeting the demand for long-term, energy-efficient products and solutions?
There are no difficulties if you are a strategic product manufacturer and seller. DION ventured into producing uPVC corrugated three-layer roofing sheets, popularly known as plastic roofing sheets, under the brand name DION. What are the defining parameters of choosing metal for structures? How does the pricing factor support the choice of metal? Quality should not be compromised, and due to global geopolitical issues, metal prices are unstable. Nevertheless, DION is doing well in the metallic industries in India.

How successfully is the roofing and insulation industry adapting to building and infrastructure projects’ environmentally friendly demand patterns?
As a developing country, there is significant potential for growth in the industrial infrastructure industry, with roofing sheets being a crucial product. The roofing industry has seen a 20-25 percent market growth in the past few years, and there will be more demand for good quality, economical, and long-term products in this industry in the upcoming years.
