CASE India launches first skid steer loader for the Indian market

CASE Construction Equipment, a CNH trademark, has launched its Made-in-India Skid Steer Loader (SSL) in the domestic market from its cutting-edge factory in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

During the last edition of CII EXCON, the company announced the launch of its indigenously manufactured SSL in India, expanding its product portfolio in the country. CASE India has handed over the SSL – SR130B machine to its first Indian customer, Global Enterprises, situated in Pune. This marks a watershed milestone in CASE’s journey to meet the increasing needs of the Indian construction industry.

On this occasion, Shalabh Chaturvedi, Managing Director, CASE Construction Equipment, India and SAARC region, says, “We are delighted to offer our made-in-Pithampur Skid Steer Loader for the Indian market. Contrary to popular belief, the company’s lone plant in the country has a female-led production line to produce world-class quality SSL, defying gender stereotypes.

Handing over the machine, Satendra Tiwari, Executive Director, Operations, stated, “We have been exporting world-class equipment from our Pithampur facility to 105 countries across several parts of the world in addition to India. We are pleased to provide Indian customers with these exceptional machines that boast cutting-edge technology and outstanding performance. We hope to see more of these machines on Indian roads, strengthening the nation’s infrastructure.”

The SSL SR130B, made in India, is a 49-hp, BS3-compliant machine driven by a worldwide known Perkins engine with a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 590kg and an operating weight of 2.3 tonnes.

Globally, the company began manufacturing SSLs in 1969 from its facility in Burlington (USA), with the 1526 Uni-Loader being the initial model. Now, the company manufactures it in Wichita (USA), San Piero in Bagno (Italy), and Pithampur (India), meeting global demand for CASE machines.

CASE India provides a full line of construction equipment locally in Pithampur, including vibratory compactors, excavators, backhoe loaders, and now skid steer loaders.
