Designed to meet the stringent CPCB IV+ emission standards, Baudouin Diesel engines provide a compact, durable, and sustainable solution. Their advanced features reduce carbon footprints, conserve fuel, and ensure the best total cost of ownership, setting them apart in the market for their environmental benefits.
What are the key features of Baudouin Diesel engines and the environmental benefits of CPCB IV+ standards?
The main characteristics, environmental advantages, and opportunities listed in CPCB IV+ standards are carefully examined in the development of Baudouin Diesel engines, which range in capacity from 100 kVA to 750 kVA. These engines offer the best total cost of ownership and are compact, durable, and sustainable, in addition to meeting compliance requirements. These diesel engines are made to help reduce carbon emissions, save fuel, and increase uptime. We are the only producers providing a range of diesel engines from 62.5kVA to 4000kVA, and we are also working on engines under 100kVA that will be released soon.
How does digital transformation improve your engine’s emission compliance, fuel efficiency, and reliability?
Our heavy machinery products depend significantly on digital advancements. Modern ECUs and After Treatment Systems (ATS) are installed in our engines to strike a compromise between fuel economy and pollution compliance. To ensure smooth compliance with current emission regulations across all segments, all our engines are IoT-enabled and compliant with CPCB IV+ Norms. The engines may interact with diagnostic tools through features like Real-Time Diagnostics and problem Monitoring, which provide comprehensive error codes and problem descriptions. This improves operating efficiency and dependability by facilitating quicker troubleshooting, minimising downtime, and lowering service costs.
What training or skill development programs does your company offer to ensure operators can fully utilise your product’s capabilities?
We provide comprehensive training programmes for operators, including product-specific theoretical and hands-on sessions using advanced engine simulators. Our training also focuses on troubleshooting and diagnostics, equipping operators to address common issues caused by operational errors. Additionally, we offer on-site training to help operators understand the working environment of new technology engines and highlight the importance of timely maintenance.
How does your location in Pune benefit your engine manufacturing in terms of supplier ecosystem, cost efficiency, and alignment with government regulations?
Fortunately, we are situated in the western part of Maharastra (Pune), which is surrounded by diesel engine manufacturers. The Supplier Ecosystem is also in place, and we are working very closely with them on components of our Engines. This helps us align with the current Government regulations and manufacture best-in-class Products at a lower cost, enabling us to have an Export Hub.
How important is an event like BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA in fostering relationships between manufacturers, project procurement professionals, and government stakeholders?
Events like BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA foster collaboration and strengthen relationships among manufacturers, project procurement professionals, and government stakeholders. These events provide a unique platform for showcasing Baudouin’s innovations, exchanging ideas, and collectively addressing industry challenges. Such events also create opportunities to align on regulatory requirements, explore partnerships, and gain insights into future market trends, ultimately driving growth and innovation across the Powergen Business.
Can you walk us through the latest innovations showcased in your product line at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2024?
In today’s rapidly evolving world, the demand for environmentally friendly products has increased due to growing environmental concerns. CPCB IV+ compliant engines mark a significant milestone in pursuing cleaner and more sustainable energy generation.
Among the most extensive and strict regulations for engines used in backup, power requirements are met by CPCB IV+. These improvements are intended to reduce harmful oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) concentrations by approximately 90% compared to the previous CPCB II regulations. Furthermore, a single standard covering all fuel types for engines with a power output of up to 800 kW has been established under the most recent CPCB IV+ emission regulations for both prime and stand-by use generators, along with direction 76 stack emission norms, which would also be addressed.
The main features of Baudouin Diesel engines — Proven & Established High-Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) technology with Full Authority Electronic Platform and Compact design — are aimed to deliver best in class Power to weight ratio with high reliability to our customers and backed by outstanding aftermarket support to guarantee optimal uptime.
What can attendees expect from your company’s presence regarding live demos or conference participation? Are there any specific highlights you would like to share with those attending?
At BAUMA CONEXPO 2024, attendees can expect to see our CPCV IV+ and CAQM Compliant Engine ranges on display, including the powerful 12M55 engine with power ratings up to 3000 kVA. We highlight key features such as the compact engine design, best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, and low NVH. Additionally, our engines are designed with low lube oil sump capacity, a proven engine and after-treatment system, and an advanced IoT system.
