Apollo Tyres Ltd debuted radial tyres for backhoe loaders at the bauma ConExpo India 2024, an international trade event for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, and construction vehicles.

The Apollo Terra Pro 1045 is India’s first steel belted radial tyre for backhoe loader applications, designed for the roughest underfoot conditions. This tyre was created in response to consumer comments on the need for puncture resistance and traction in both directions and under varying underfoot conditions. The Apollo Terra Pro 1045 has various advantages, including reduced slippage in wet and dry situations thanks to its unique tread pattern design with multiple biting edges and self-cleaning ability.

Because of their radial construction and robust hexagonal block design, Apollo Terra Pro 1045 tyres have a lower rolling resistance and hence improve fuel efficiency. The tailor-made compound with exceptional wear and cut resistance improves tyre mileage. The flexible sidewalls, as opposed to bias tyres, allow the tyre to better absorb road shocks and vibrations, resulting in a smoother ride. The steel belt beneath the tread improves the tyre’s resistance to penetration by sharp objects on the road.

Apollo Terra MPT 1 is an all-steel radial tyre designed for multipurpose vehicles and defence applications because of its remarkable longevity, dependability, and performance in demanding and high-stress settings. The tyre has a self-cleaning tread design that excels in off-road conditions while being quiet and pleasant on the highway. A specialised and robust compound ensures traction and longevity while also improving wear resistance. The all-steel radial carcass structure offers better durability and stability when crossing various inclines and rough surfaces such as stones, soil, and sand, while also delivering a comfortable and quiet ride on the road.

Apollo Terra, which is designed for self-loading machines, mobile concrete mixers, and compact wheel loaders, has been engineered to function well in the most challenging environments. Apollo Terra’s 5-shaped pattern and open shoulder grooves provide great grip and self-cleaning in both forward and reverse directions.

Apollo Terra SS-5 is designed for heavy-duty skid steer machine applications. The flatter tyre profile optimises weight distribution, while the interlocking tie bars and higher NSD provide superior puncture prevention and life. Apollo Terra SS-5, with its heavy-duty construction and tailor-made compound, excels at resisting cuts and chips, making it ideal for severe environments such as scrap processing.

Apollo Terra MT is the latest generation offering for 60-70 tonne dumper trucks, with increased durability and greater performance. It is designed with a strong carcass and a cooling composition to withstand extreme heavy load applications while providing outstanding mileage. The bigger the confined air volume, the greater the load-carrying ability, and the higher the rubber in the wearing zone, the better the mileage.
