NORD launches Extra Mile Service vehicle at Hyderabad

NORD Drivesystems Pvt Ltd launched its ‘Extra Mile Service Vehicle’ with the aim of reaching the customer at their doorstep for increasing and managing the product life cycle.
The event held at Hyderabad was graced by A.R. Sukumar, Principal Secretary, Public Enterprises, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce (I&C) Department, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) Department, Government of Telangana.
NORD’s newly launched Van is aimed at providing all types of services for emergency refurbishment and support services. The products that NORD provides globally are all available in the Indian market too and the service team from NORD India claims to refurbish and service 90 per cent of the total product range locally.
“Our customers from various industries right from steel to cement, from food and beverage to textile, compete not just on the quality of their products, but on the responsiveness and service levels that they deliver to their end users. So maintaining reliable machinery is what the customer want. So here we are ready to service every NORD product in the least possible time and helping the customers have a product with extended working life. This is the reason we have named it ‘Extra Mile Service’, we want each customer to have an extra mile run with our products,” explained P.L. Muthusekkar, MD, NORD Drivesystems.
There were about 130 customers who attended the event, some also arrived from Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Indore, Chandigarh etc. Customers like Marini, Texfab, FLSmidth, Eriez Magnetics, K2 Cranes, Metso, New Era Industries, Sneha Farms, S2 Engineering, CPK etc. attended the event.
NORD, GM, Amit Deokule, states, “With our new Extra Mile Service, NORD is willing to take the risk of fighting sun or rain and reaching our customers whenever they call us one our Toll Free Number or mail us with their queries.”
Lowering the barriers to have smooth functioning gearboxes
Extra Mile Service provide on time servicing, performance based life extension of products and functionality while offering affordable pricing, ensuring that manufacturers can get up and running quickly and easily after the servicing completed.
“Now it is easier than ever for manufacturers to reliably connect with customers and suppliers to ensure accurate and in-time delivery, with our support to have hassle free servicing of motors, gearboxes and VFDs,” Muthusekkar states.
NORD Drivesystems Pvt Ltd opened a 13,300 sq.m. factory in Pune in 2008, after it had established a sales branch in 2005. Nord India has a production capacity of more than 24,000 units per year and includes mechanical, electrical and electronic products in drive systems. While the clientele spread across almost every industry such as steel and metals, infrastructure, cement, textile, packaging, airports, pharma, chemical, pumps, effluent treatment, material handling, robotics, cranes, automobile, dairy, beverage, packaged food, agriculture, and many more.
