ACE keen to boost capacity utilisation
.

With the market turning around, we hope to be at 70-80 per cent capacity utilisation in the next 2 years.

Pradeep Sharma, President, Action Construction Equipment Ltd.

Action Construction Equipment Ltd. (ACE) is one of India’s leading material handling and construction equipment manufacturers. Over the last few years, ACE has suitably filled the gaps in its product offerings and is now ready with a comprehensive range of cranes and construction equipment.

ACE is fully geared-up for forthcoming growth as the market improves. Currently the company is working at about 50 per cent of its installed capacities, informs the company’s President Pradeep Sharma. He forecasts, “With the market turning around, we hope to be at 70-80 per cent capacity utilisation in the next 2 years. This would help us increase our revenues while keeping our CAPEX to a minimum.”

ACE is confident that its series of launches in the last 2 years would help the company improve market share further in cranes as well as road construction and earthmoving divisions.

ACE at EXCON 2017
ACE will be primarily focusing upon promoting recently launched F160, F210, FX230, FX250 NextGen Mobile cranes and its road construction equipment this year at EXCON 2017, informs Sharma. He adds, “Soil compactor, Tandem Roller, Motor Grader and Backhoe Loaders would have a prominent presence in EXCON 2017 as road construction equipment market is likely to witness exponential growth.”

Unique features
ACE New Generation Pick-n-carry Cranes use industrial driveline from Trucks resulting in improved gear shifting, better operator comfort and higher speeds. Cabin is in front and at lower height. Operator sits just like sitting in a car. He gets excellent all-round visibility. Less number of structural parts as front and rear frame are joined by pins having self-aligning bearings providing flexibility in structure. Rear frame is connected to axle through leaf springs providing robust suspension and jerk free ride. ACE Cranes have a special feature that the full rated lifting capacity is available in even articulated or steered position.

ACE Backhoe Loader AX-130 comes with 76/96 HP Kirloskar Engine, Carraro Transmission (both 4 x 2 and 4 x 4 variants) of 1 cubic metre standard or 6 in one multi- purpose loader bucket and 0.24 / 0.3 cubic metre Excavator bucket.

Target markets
Despite the prevailing global uncertainties, rising needs for better infrastructure, modernised methods for agriculture and growing complexity of mining or manufacturing technology are expected to boost demand for technologically advanced equipment in these segments. Moreover, Sharma feels, “Looking ahead as the growth path widens for the emerging and developing nations, India would be one of the most attractive investment destinations globally. The new political dispensation lends a lot of credibility and hope for the growth of infrastructure and economy in future.”

The primary demand drivers for construction equipment manufacturing sector lies in newer infrastructure projects coming up like roads and highways, railways, inland waterways, ports building, river interlinking, dedicated freight corridors, bigger plants and refineries. All these add up to increase the demand for ACE’s products, informs Sharma.
