Rapid assembly and variable use make the new Allround Shoring Frame TG 60 an extremely profitable investment. Time is saved thanks to the lightweight components, weighing no more than 18 kilograms, and the lower number of parts: assembly is about 30 percent faster than for a comparable structure using individual standards and ledgers. There are also simple yet proven connection techniques with wedge heads, permanently integrated and cast-on spigots, and the option of pre-assembling the shoring towers on the ground and quickly placing them by crane.

The solution for the Swedish scaffolding construction company was to use the new Allround Shoring TG 60 from Layher: High-strength shoring frames in combination with standard parts from the proven Allround equipment range, which gave the clients crucial advantages. Firstly, rapid assembly ensured high efficiency. This is assured by the reduced number of components in the prefabricated shoring frame compared to individual parts, the low component weight of no more than 18 kilograms, bolt-free wedge head connectors, and the optimum use of material thanks to variable bay lengths. For this project, the scaffolding experts stretched the 1.09-metre-wide shorting towers to a bay length of 2.07 metres to match the prevailing load and the configuration dimension of the formwork supports – saving material and assembly time compared with square shoring towers.

Compatibility with the comprehensive Allround range of components proved equally advantageous. Any requirement, in this case, for example, the slightly oval shape, could be met economically with standard Allround parts. Coupling in the longitudinal and transverse directions was also feasible quickly and easily using Allround ledgers thanks to the wedge head connection technology. On the one hand, this serves to brace the overall structure. On the other hand, the distance to the next tower results automatically, thanks to the system dimension, by right-angled positioning of Allround ledgers after a single tower has been assembled. Without time-consuming measurement. This meant that the scaffolding company was ahead of schedule, say the clients: in just five days, the erectors had built the 10,000 cubic metre-sized structure, including laying the H20 formwork supports and plywood boards, creating a stable support for the athletes from 47 different countries.
