Voltage Control Unit (AVR) Model AX-01: The voltage to be regulated is derived from the line U.V. and Neutral of the A.C. Generator. The AVR forms a closed loop system, where in the generator voltage is continuously compared with a highly stable reference. The generator phase to neutral voltage is rectified, attenuated, filtered and regulated to a suitable value.
 
The Voltage Control Unit (AVR) is a solid state, encapsulated, state of the art design with latest technology. The AVR is supplying power to the exciter field of A.C. generator and will maintain generator voltage within close limits from no load to full load, with a frequency change of not more than +/- 4%.  Upon application or rejection of rated load, the generator voltage recovers to nominal value within 0.5 sec. However, the transient performance is mainly dependent upon the exciter & A.C. Generator design aspects.
 
Under some circumstances the A.C. Generator wave shape changes considerably from no-load to rated load due to the type of load, hence the r.m.s. average or the peak voltage does not stay in proportion. For more than 10% harmonic distortion, the voltage regulation may be outside the limit specified.
 
Unbalanced load on 3 phase A.C. Generators also produces regulation figures out side the limit. AVR has been incorporated with special filters to perform satisfactory on non linear loads. AVR has been tested at factory and set to standard voltage, frequency and stability prior to the despatch.
 
Voltage Control Unit (AVR) Model AX-03 (400HZ): The Voltate to be regulated is derived from the line UV of the AC Generator. The VCU forms a closed loop system, where in the generator voltage is continuously compated with a highly stable reference. The generator phase to phase voltage is rectified attenuated, filtered and regulated to a suitable value.
