Ammann, a global pioneer in road construction equipment, has announced the opening of its most modern manufacturing facility, which will produce track pavers. This strategic development is a significant step forward in Ammann India’s efforts to improve its world-class construction equipment capabilities.

Following the acquisition of ABG pavers last year, Ammann has invested in a cutting-edge facility that will focus on producing ABG Track and Wheel Pavers ranging in width from 7.5 meters to 10 meters, as well as compactors and bitumen sprayers.  Incorporating cutting-edge German engineering technology will boost the company’s position in the Indian and global markets, reinforcing its reputation for providing high-performance, fuel-efficient, and technologically sophisticated road construction solutions.

The investment has been directed towards modernising manufacturing infrastructure, incorporating automation, implementing sustainability initiatives, and upskilling the workforce. It incorporates cutting-edge automation features, including an IIoT-based Automatic Storage and Retrieval System for optimized material handling and safety, as well as automated real-time data acquisition for enhanced process monitoring and quality assurance.

The facility’s design focuses on sustainability.  Ammann has implemented comprehensive environmental measures, including the installation of solar panels to reduce carbon emissions, IIoT-enabled energy monitoring systems, and an environmentally friendly infrastructure featuring LED lighting, skylights, and HVLS fans.  The company’s commitment to ethical manufacturing is further evidenced by a robust waste management and recycling program.  The centre will also include intensive Lean Six Sigma and quality assurance courses, advanced manufacturing training, and worldwide talent exchange programmes.
