Ammann India Pvt Ltd, one of the market leaders in road construction equipment, manufacturing asphalt mixing plants, pavers, and concrete mixing plants recently concluded Techno Days 2018 from 14-15 April at its manufacturing facility at Ditasan near Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The two-day industry gathering witnessed huge participation from company’s channel partners, employees and key customers from India and globally. The event was marked by inauguration of its stunningly transformed and technologically upgraded Apollo manufacturing facility. The state-of-art facility boasts of technology being advanced into the manufacturing process, as well as increased use of modern robotics and the manufacturing of several new product lines.
Hans-Christian Schneider, CEO, Ammann Schweiz AG welcomed the guests and addressed about new manufacturing facility and future plans of the company in India. The officials from Ammann took the congregation through an informative journey about the company and its advanced product portfolio for the infrastructure sector in the country.
The company has also set up one-of-its kind Ammann Academy, with an aim to internally make optimum use of resources and technology for training operators for handling advanced equipment’s and upgrades their skill set to next level. The company believes that it does not only offer manufacturing process but also aims to provide complete package to the customers by training their operators and enhancing technical skills.
Ammann India also launched two new indigenous products as addition to their existing product portfolio for Indian road construction sector. The product includes the new Apollo Value Tecasphalt mixing plant and Ammann AFT 500 paver.
Speaking on the inaugural event of state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, Hans-Christian Schneider, CEO, Ammann Schweiz AG says, “The important driving factor behind setting up of Indian manufacturing facility is the rising demand for technologically advanced products in the Indian market which is likely to augment in the upcoming future. The company has made substantial investment in setting up the facility. There has been strategic investment made into building offices for manufacturing machines, setting up modern robotics for wielding processes and so on, he asserts.
Acknowledging the role of technology in manufacturing process and on-site implementation, Schneider says, “The company is convinced that technology plays a crucial role in Indian manufacturing sector in terms of connectivity and optimisation of resources for increased productivity. This will only lead to upgradation of local manufacturing to competitive international standards. Commenting on the future plans of Ammann India, Schneider claims that the company aims to grow its market position substantially in the near future. There are plans to introduce several pioneer manufacturing and product technologies with 70-75 per cent growth in productivity. The company is ready and looks forward to promising and highly competitive Indian as well as global market. It aims to be preferred partners for customers in future.
