ASFOCOAT-31 is a universal cleaning composition which can be used very safely on any metal or assemblies. It can be used for general cleaning for removal of oils, soils, fabricating fluids, burrs, buffing and drawing compounds etc. It is safe to handle and contains no toxic or hazardous constituents and is neither inflammable nor poisonous.  ASFOCOAT-31 can be used by wipe, or immersion in various types of equipment such as ultrasonics, tumblers, agitated tanks.

Uses :
1. For cleaning of aluminium copper and brass surfaces.
2. For cleaning of finished components, painted equipment and for all equipment and machinery before delivery.
3. For degreasing of ferrous or non-ferrous parts prior to pickling, phosphating, blackening, chromating or electroplating etc.
4. For use in ultrasonic cleaning equipment for cleaning cum finishing of various metal and non-metal surfaces.

Application:

A) For ultrasonic cleaning equipment :- The following guidelines should be followed depending on the degree of contamination
B) By Swabbing or Wiping
Depending on the type and amount of soils present on the metal surface the following guidelines should be followed

C) By Immersion Process for Metals/Non-Metals

Post treatment
After cleaning in ASFOCOAT-31 the parts should be duly washed off with water and dried.
Subsequently a preservative may be applied to retain the desired finish. In certain cases, the parts need not be washed off with water, but simply wiped dry.
