BEML to establish a mining equipment manufacturing facility in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh has invited BEML Ltd. to establish a mining equipment plant, boosting industrial growth. The facility will produce dump trucks, motor graders, and water sprinklers, supporting the mining and infrastructure sectors.

In a significant step to spur industrial growth and job creation, the Chhattisgarh government’s Department of Commerce & Industries has invited BEML Ltd to invest in the state by establishing a world-class mining equipment manufacturing facility. The proposed plant will produce high-performance dump trucks, water sprinklers, and motor graders to meet the growing demand in the mining and infrastructure industries.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, formally invited Shri Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML Ltd., emphasising the state’s commitment to promoting industrial development. At today’s Investor Connect event in Bangalore, the Hon’ble Chief Minister presented the official “Invitation to Invest” to BEML’s Functional Directors—Shri Anil Jerath, Director-Finance, Shri Sanjay Som, Director-Mining, Construction, and Defence, and Shri Debi Prasad Satpathy, Director-Human Resources—in the presence of key government ministers and senior officials.

Chhattisgarh has positioned itself as an appealing investment destination due to its pro-business laws, abundant natural resources, and strong ease-of-doing-business framework. The state provides single-window clearances, zero-paper processing, and a favourable industrial climate to ensure the smooth execution of new investments.
