BioWater Treatment Systems LLP are the distributors of Bio-Microbics Inc., USA for India. The Bio-Microbics treatment systems provided by the company can be used in can be used in residential, commercial, academic and industrial premises to treat domestic sewage for reuse in various non-potable applications such as gardening, toilet flushing and floor swapping.
FAST (Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment) Systems
The FAST systems use the attached growth process with a submerged fixed film media using an above ground regenerative blower for aeration. The FAST system is modular. Each module is engineered and tested for a particular treatment capacity and are available in capacities of 600 litres per day to 6, 00,000 litres per day. The systems are installed below ground to save space and improve aesthetics. The systems are easy to maintain, self-cleaning, long lasting, reliable and extraordinarily robust. The systems handle surge flows and toxic flows better than conventional systems. FAST has been tested by NSF and various other testing organisations across the world.
Process:
• Wastewater enters the treatment system.
• Natural separation and settling processes occur in the primary settling zone.
• In the primary settling zone, a SaniTEE device is used to prevent large solids from entering the treatment zone.
• A remote, above-ground blower introduces air (oxygen) into the treatment module to facilitate a robust circulation of wastewater through the media’s channelled flow path.
• Bacteria in the aeration zone become ‘fixed’ or attached to the stationary media. This is where the abundant, diverse, self-regulating population of microbes consistently metabolize the incoming waste.
• Clear, odourless, treated water leaves the system for disposal or reuse.
RetroFITT-ee
The RetroFITT-ee is a treatment system for bungalows. It uses the same treatment technology as the FAST and is designed to be retrofitted into an existing septic tank to convert it into a sewage treatment system. The RetroFITT-ee is available in capacities of 600 LPD, 950 LPD and 1,400 LPD. They use highly energy efficient blowers leading to very low operating costs. It is ideally suited to weekend homes, farm houses and bungalows in urban areas. Water from these systems can be reused for gardening and toilet flushing. They use gravity flow and require no human intervention. The systems have been tested and certified to strict European standards.
RollsAIR
The RollsAIR uses the activated sludge process in a unique plug flow design without the use of pumps for fluid and sludge transfer. Instead, a single blower carries out all aeration and fluid transfer functions. The RollsAIR uses the patented Lixor venturi aerators which do not clog, last twice as long as fine bubble diffusers and are configured to create a unique barrel-roll movement of the water as it moves from one end of the treatment tank to the other.
Process:
• Sewage enters the settling zone where natural separation and settling take place.
• The water then passes through the SaniTEE screen which prevents large solids from entering the treatment zone (2).
• A remote, above ground blower introduces air into the treatment tank.
• Water from the aeration zone then enters the clarifier where the sludge settles to the bottom.
• Sludge is piped to the sludge holding tank where it is further digested for easy disposal. Clear, odourless treated water exits the clarifier for innovative dispersal or reuse.
