BuildMat is one of South India’s largest biennial construction fairs, held by the Coimbatore centres of the Builders’ Association of India, the Indian Institute of Architects, and the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive exhibitions for the construction industry.
The ‘Big 3′ who hosted this event included the Builders’ Association of India (BAI), which was founded 75 years ago in Mumbai and now has 63000 members in 130 centres across India. The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), a national body of architects founded in 1971, now has approximately 15,000 members. IIA is represented in various national and international architectural bodies. The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (I), founded in 1985, has its headquarters in Bangalore and a countrywide membership of about 2500.
AEB Forum is the first of its type in India and has been organising the BuildMat event since 2009.
The BuildMat 2025 Fair was hosted at the PSG Convention Centre and Trade Fair Ground in Neelambur, Coimbatore, from January 23rd to January 26th, 2025. More than 250 exhibitors participated in this prestigious event.
