“After several years of below par activity, the CE market in India is finally showing positive signs of growth. There is definite improvement in the overall confidence. Everyone is hopeful that this upward trend will sustain for some time with the momentum being generated by many government initiatives to revive the stalled projects and also launch new ones. Barring political factors, the execution of projects should bring about considerable economic activity and development,” said Vikram Sharma, MD and CEO, Kobelco Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd.

Kobelco to display new version machines
Kobelco Cranes India Pvt Ltd (KCI) is being merged into the company (KCEI) pursuant to the global merger in Japan effective April, 2016. Also, for the first time in recent years, there is a gap in supply as the demand for Kobelco Excavators has outpaced the supply. A 260 MT capacity Crawler Crane, the CKL2600i will be on display along with the Okada range of heavy-duty Rock Breakers. The company will also display our new version of the Excavator, SK380HDLC Heavy Tracks, which now comes with the best-in-class Undercarriage.

Both the focus products, the SK380HDLC Excavator and the new HD range of Okada Rock Breakers are with major improvements which deliver much more value to the end user. The new Undercarriage on the SK380HDLC is far superior to any other in the same range of Excavators. Sharma claims that the new products will set a new standard and improve the customer’s profits by improving machine uptime and reducing the hourly cost of operation with a longer life of the components.
