A rig-mounted hydraulic breaker from Chicago Pneumatic is playing a vital role in a trenching project to lay telecoms cables in Himachal Pradesh, which is based in mountainous Himalayan region.
At the start of 2014, contractor M/S Ravi Kumar S/O Deshraj, began a trenching project to lay telecom cable wires across the whole of Himachal Pradesh. However, due to some difficulties like narrow roads, it wasn’t possible to deploy a large 20 tonne excavator. Hence, it was needed to use a smaller 8 tonne excavator, with an appropriately sized powerful hydraulic breaker to remove the rocks that would be frequently encountered when making the trenches to lay the cable wires at the sides of roads.
The contractor admits that his search of a powerful small breaker with higher reliability and productivity ended when Chicago Pneumatic offered its small hydraulic breaker range which helped increase productivity and complete the project in given time.
