What are the key features and benefits of Franna pick-and-carry mobile cranes that differentiate them from competitors in the highly competitive mobile crane segment?
Terex continues to strengthen its foothold in India’s Construction Equipment Market by bringing in new technologies, expanding its product portfolio, and entering new construction territories. With the recent launch of its technologically advanced and internationally proven Franna brand of pick-and-carry mobile cranes, Terex is now making its presence in the highly competitive mobile crane segment dominated by well-established local players. We also launched a smaller range of crushing machines such as jaw crushers and impact crushers under our EvoQuip brand, in the 60, 70 and 80 ton/hour capacity, which can be transported on a small truck or trailer. These machines are being developed to cater to projects in the North-East and Himalayan regions as well C&D crushing very close to cities. Our aim is to offer an entire range of machines in various capacities from small, mid to high, which will be made in India to cater to road and mining sectors.
How does you meet the demand for faster and smarter construction in the crushing and screening industry, considering the rapid urbanization in India?
India is witnessing rapid urbanization and so is the crushing & screening industry, fuelling demand for faster and smarter construction, a major driver for customers to move towards mobility. Digitization and automation have a significant impact on construction projects. The demand for machines that are cost-effective, with policies for lower emissions is compelling construction equipment manufacturers to opt for electric and hybrid vehicles over the traditional ones. Customers are cost-sensitive, but they are willing to pay for features which bring efficiency in costs and quality. Our Hybrid technology and Telematics are the perfect examples for this.
How does Terex use hybrid tech, telematics to offer cost-effective, eco-friendly solutions with vital info and predictive maintenance?
We are one of the first companies in the crushing and screening domain globally to launch telematics across our
tracked mobile range of equipment. This provides customers access to complete information on the machine such as the production data, performance data and other vital parameters. Our telematics goes beyond simply a list of statistics and numbers. In addition to regular reports on machine usage and fuel consumption to help customers manage their fleet, telematics is tied into predictive maintenance, where customers can know when their machine is due a service or when parts may need replaced. This will be especially beneficial for large companies who operate a fleet of crushers at various sites, as telematics will enable them to get all the information on their fleet of machines at their head office or technical division.
