How do you see the current demand scenario of the formworks market in India?

The residential sector is expected to grow significantly with the Central Government aiming to build 20 million affordable houses in urban areas across the country by 2022 under the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. The number of housing units is expected to increase significantly in urban areas. Real estate sector will represent 13 percent of the GDP by 2025. Formwork materials play a vital role in providing economical budget of the project, faster construction with speedy result, and their demand is increasing day by day.

What are the latest products & solutions from the company in formworks?

We have developed a safety system for high-rise buildings which is cost saving and helps in reducing the fear of heights for labour when working on high-rise structures. It is known as balcony cage system which is operated on tower crane, so no need of costly hydraulic system.

We have also developed an economical formwork system which is advanced version of conventional ply, known as Cos-Fo. The plywood which is being used at site is modified and used in aluminium frames just like aluminium formwork system. It helps in achieving maximum repetition of the ply and cost saving with ease of use at site.

Which are the key markets? Based on current market requirement, we are planning to export our formwork system to Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries which are growing faster. We have already supplied the material for one of the villa projects in Saudi Arabia.

As Cosmos is growing faster, we are also focusing on expanding our business in Mumbai, Gujarat, and south region like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Telangana, Chennai, etc and in north market like Delhi and Kolkata.
