Indian market is the focus for SECMAIR-BREINNING as export in India is very important, according to Olivier Brancheriau, Head of Sales, Europe-South America-India, SECMAIR BREINNING. While the company does not have any new launches at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018, presence at the expo was aimed at welcoming their customers.

“What we are functioning in the Indian market is the Micro Surfacing Machine. The technology we are offering is well accepted & proven and has been out in the market for a couple of years now. In 2019, we will have a new type of machine to complete the range. We would like to provide full package of machines for our customers in India since it is also important to provide service, training etc,” says Olivier Brancheriau, Head of Sales, Europe-South America-India, SECMAIR BREINNING.

The company also has technicians based in India to care of the machines for customers in case of any problems that could be resolved from the technician’s side. Being in the business for very a long time, the company has spare parts stock to fully support customers for any requirement. The customers will be trained in the know-how of technology and applications through workshops which will be conducted in February.

Bygone year
The year 2018 could have been better, however it was not bad for the company, says Brancheriau.

“We had set up a new team for service in India at the year’s outset, and trained them so that they become skilled at the machines to be able to repair the same and be close to customers.”

Workshops were also conducted with the customers and machines were sold to them.

Challenges
“Introduction of new technology and making the market more organised would be the major upcoming challenges,” foresees Brancheriau.

While there is professional association in the US, UK and Germany to know the players of the market, India still lacks this kind of association. So probably, such kind of association could be started in India as well to bring in more organisation.

Positive trend ahead
“We have great expectations from 2019 not only for our current range of machines but also for new technologies that would help deal with the upcoming challenge,” he says.

The outlook for the business in 2019 is fairly decent. While there would be elections in India this year, the impact it would have on their business remains to be seen. Apart from that, the business will be functioning and the technology offered by the company is also known. Customers are skilled and know how to make the most of the technologies offered to them. Positive trend is likely to be seen as there is no reason to witness decrease.
