CASE India has introduced Customer-Driven Product Definition (CDPD) process wherein they invite equipment users to participate in defining and improving new products.
CASE India is known for providing advanced transformative technology that aids in completing a project faster and more profitably. Shalabh Chaturvedi, Head of Marketing, CASE India, talks about CASE, procurement practises and the future.
Contribution to construction industry
“CASE India sells and supports a full line of construction equipment across the globe with world-class equipment and aftermarket support, industry-leading warranties and flexible financing,” begins Chaturvedi.
The CASE installation accessory options have been designed to allow multi-carrier breaker applications, supported by CASE operators. The cabs feature increased headroom and lap-bar width, along with improved forward, side, rear and overhead visibility.
Throwing more light on this, Chaturvedi further said, “Ergonomically positioned controls, industry-first side lighting and improved reliability and serviceability aids in increasing productivity. CASE backhoe loaders are re-engineered from the ground up to deliver industry-leading backhoe breakout force, greater loader lift capacity or reach and best-in-class cab visibility.”
Why CASE India
When asked about what makes the industry give a preference to CASE, when it comes to construction equipment, Chaturvedi said, “Case sells and supports a full line of construction equipment around the world. All spare parts can be ordered from the CASE dealers and are stocked at the CASE central parts warehouse across India. Through CASE India’s customer care centres and dealers, the customers have access to world-class equipment and aftermarket support along with industry-leading warranties and flexible financing.”
Procurement practices
When asked about the procurement practices of CASE, Chaturvedi was quick to add, “CASE India has introduced Customer-Driven Product Definition (CDPD) process wherein they invite equipment users to participate in defining and improving new products. Through the customer care centres and dealers of CASE, the customers have access to world-class equipment and aftermarket support along with industry-leading warranties and flexible financing.”
About CASE and the future of construction equipment industry
Chaturvedi spoke at length about the manufacturing unit of CASE and also the future of construction industry. He adds, “With worldwide investment in R&D to the tune of $ 1,100 million in 2014, CASE has been showing a similar intent in its India operations as well. Since April 2011, when CASE acquired a 100 per cent stake in its erstwhile joint venture company, an investment in excess of $50 million has flown into the Indian operations.”
He continued, “CASE India believes in the long term growth potential of the Indian infrastructure sector and consequently a huge opportunity in the construction equipment segment. We do have a lot more plans to further enhance our product offering and the dealership network to serve our customers at the best possible levels.”
Chaturvedi feels that the economic slowdown has impacted the Indian construction equipment industry over the last two years. “However the medium term scenario to 2020 seems positive. The CE industry, being a direct derivative of the Infrastructure development, is likely to get benefitted in the medium to long term,” he signs off.
