Gadkari inaugurates ₹6,350 crore highway projects in Jharkhand

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched ₹6,350 crore highway projects in Jharkhand to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and promote development, including key projects in Ranchi and Garhwa.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, inaugurated 11 National Highway projects totalling ₹6,350 crore in Jharkhand. Nine of these projects are in Ranchi, with two in Garhwa, and will greatly improve the state’s road system.
Gadkari launched the 4.18-kilometre Ratu Road flyover in Ranchi, which connects Raj Bhavan to the OTC Ground. Other major projects include the ₹1,900 crore Palma-Gumla four-lane highway, the ₹825 crore Barhi-Koderma four-lane road, and minor projects like Godda (₹100 crore), Giridih (₹20 crore), and Barahat-Tulsipur (₹70 crore). In addition, a ₹560 crore elevated corridor was inaugurated in the city to promote urban mobility.
In Garhwa, the Minister inaugurated a 23-kilometre four-lane road from Shankha to Khajoori, which cost ₹1,130 crore. He also broke ground on a ₹1,330 crore project to widen a 32-kilometre stretch of NH 39 from the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border to Gumla. These initiatives aim to improve intrastate connectivity, shorten travel times, and boost economic development in Jharkhand.
