Geberit Pluvia: Syphonic roof drainage system
.

Used in a wide range of applications like flat roofs, shed-type, dome-shaped and arched roofs with various curvatures, cold and warm roofs, and inverted roofs.

Safe drainage of large roof areas

The drainage of large roof areas is becoming an ever more important task in modern residential, industrial, commercial and high rise construction and is in many countries subject to national regulations and standards. Frequently, occurring heavy rainfalls result in increasing requirements with respect to the planning and implementation of waste and drainage systems, in order that even large quantities of water can be drained off safely and quickly.

Economical system with very high discharge rate

With the Geberit Pluvia negative pressure roof outlet and the robust and versatile PE-HD discharge pipes, economical complete systems for rainwater drainage can be implemented with Geberit which safely drain off large quantities of water. They are hydraulically optimised in such a way that the discharge rate is practically double that of conventional systems with the same pipe dimension. Geberit emergency overflows provide additional safety for extreme weather conditions.

Functioning of Geberit Pluvia

Unlike conventional roof drainage methods, the Geberit Pluvia roof drainage system functions as a syphonic system. The pipeline system fills up completely as rapidly as possible, the correct pipeline dimensioning and arrangement of the Geberit Pluvia roof outlets, thus generates a negative pressure in the pipeline. This negative pressure in the pipe rapidly withdraws the rainwater by suction, instead of merely allowing it to drain away, and also ensures an improved self-cleaning.

Advantages

No stop of pipework required – less space required.
Less down pipe.
Small pipe diameter.
High flow capacity results in efficient self-cleaning effect.
Low system weight.
Less underground pipes, less manholes.
A simple and speedy fastening system.
Prefabrication of pipe system possible.
