This green technology involves the utilisation of 90 percent of the milled material, equivalent to an impressive 20 lakh square meters of the road surface.

The Ghaziabad-Aligarh Expressway has etched its name in the annals of history by accomplishing a remarkable feat: the laying of Bituminous Concrete over a staggering distance of 100 lane kilometres in an unprecedented time frame of just 100 hours. This extraordinary achievement stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication and ingenious approach of India’s road infrastructure industry. The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the exceptional teams of Cube Highways, L&T, and Ghaziabad Aligarh Expressway Pvt Ltd (GAEPL) for their outstanding accomplishment.

Addressing the Celebration Ceremony virtually, Gadkari emphasised the significance of the Ghaziabad-Aligarh section of NH34, which spans a crucial 118 kilometres. This stretch serves as a vital transportation link connecting the densely populated regions of Ghaziabad and Aligarh. It traverses several towns and cities in Uttar Pradesh, including Dadri, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, and Khurja. The expressway plays a pivotal role as a trade route, facilitating the seamless movement of goods and contributing to regional economic development by connecting industrial areas, agricultural regions, and educational institutions.

Ghaziabad-Aligarh HighwayGadkari further highlighted the project’s commitment to sustainability and cost-effectiveness through the implementation of the innovative Cold Central Plant Recycling (CCPR) technology. This green technology involves the utilisation of 90 percent of the milled material, equivalent to an impressive 20 lakh square meters of the road surface. Consequently, the consumption of virgin materials has been reduced to a mere 10 percent. By adopting this approach, the project has significantly reduced fuel consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions, making a substantial contribution to lowering the carbon footprint.

Expressing his unwavering commitment to exceptional mobility for every commuter and promoting commerce while driving economic activities in the region, Gadkari acknowledged the leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The development of world-class highways at an unprecedented speed without compromising on quality remains a top priority for the government. The Ghaziabad-Aligarh Expressway stands as a shining example of this commitment.

The completion of the 100-hour Bituminous Concrete laying on the Ghaziabad-Aligarh Expressway marks a significant milestone in India’s road infrastructure development. It showcases the indomitable spirit, determination, and innovation of the teams involved in this extraordinary endeavour. The nation celebrates this achievement as it paves the way for enhanced connectivity, economic growth, and a greener future.
