Greywater pioneering next-gen wastewater treatment
.

“Our basic product philosophy is to decentralise the treatment of wastewater and provide friendly products to ensure the sustainability of operations of plants,” says Arun Dubey, Head – Strategy & Business Development, Jaldhara Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Greywater)

Greywater, a Mumbai-based specialised technology company, operates in wastewater, sewage and effluent treatment. It has pioneered the next generation treatment technology for application in hospitality, commercial (hospitals, SEZ, IT parks etc.), residential and industrial segments.

It offers compact, packaged, plug-and-play products for sewage, wastewater, effluent and water treatment that significantly reduces space footprint by 30-70 per cent and energy requirements by 40-50 per cent compared to conventional plants. These plants are designed and built to handle variable loads and require minimal manual intervention. Its clients include Dahej SEZ, Mahindra Holidays, Oberoi Reality, Gemco Power and Unitech.

Application areas of Grewa Ranger
Its various products; namely, GREWA-R, GREWA-RS and add on modules such as GREWA-O have ubiquitous applications in residential, commercial, hospitality and industrial segments. The applications range from containerised sewage treatment plants to complex DM and ultra-filtration plants in industrial segments. Its industrial clients are spread across a range of industries from power to dairy and food products.

Acceptance of this range
Its basic product philosophy is to decentralise the treatment of wastewater and provide friendly products to ensure the sustainability of operations of plants. In Indian context, it becomes increasingly relevant because its municipal infrastructure is yet to catch up with the urbanisation boom. The large cities are becoming larger and spreading across, thus its technology ensures that it localises the treatment of wastewater and recycle and reuse the wastewater at source of generation itself.

Performance in 2013
FY’13 was a great year. In 12-13, Greywater focussed on building reference sites across India and set up sales and support network across India. It also launched its latest offering GREWA-RS, next generation STP product and available at a price of conventional technology.

Outlook for 2014
Greywater has a phenomenal start in FY’13-14. Grewa-RS has been accepted well by market, and it has doubled its order book in first quarter itself. The company is now focussed on growth and hence actively looking in to strategic tie-ups and international expansion.
