It is designed to bond a variety of substrates including metals, most plastics and rubbers. It is machinable on metals and has a good gap-fill ability of up to 5 mm. This ready-to-use product can be dispensed directly from the pack without additional equipment. The two-coloured components of Loctite HY 4060GY allow for indication of proper mixing. It is an ideal replacement for the traditional 2K 5-minute epoxies.

It is resistant to impact, vibration and shock loads, and can be used for cold-temperature applications. Loctite HY 4090 has a high viscosity and is off-white to light yellow gel.
