  “The hybrid annuity PPP plan and the thrust by the government of India has enthused large construction and infrastructure projects. The construction equipment numbers for 2016 are expected to witness the high growth rates of FY2011. We are expecting more than 50,000 units to be reached by the financial year. There is a renewed optimism, but we are yet to see the growth across all product segments. Roads and Highways have seen improving spend, the real worry is real estate that may see a skid due to demonetisation and expected GST roll out. Railways and irrigation have been below par from new projects perspective. Hopefully new ports and high speed railway lines can drive the growth,” says Channabasavanna H Sharanappa, CEO, Atarw Technologies Pvt Ltd while stating the performance of the construction equipment industry in India.

A year of consolidated growth
Sharing his views on how the year 2016 turned outto be for Atarw Technologies, Sharanappa said, “The year 2016 has been a year of consolidation and growth for us. Unlike service based in IT companies that are witnessing huge revenue de-growth, we being product based, there has been no impact from customer spend. The sectors of cloud, mobile and analytics adoption is expected to increase across all aftermarket functions.

Receiving market recognition
Sharing the company’s achievements during the last one year, Sharanappa said, “There have been many accomplishments from our organisational perspective.  Atarw got recognised as the best in breed after market solution provider, not only in construction equipment industry but in many other discreet manufacturing industrial segments.”He further said, “We were able to open our office in USA and start selling into that geography. Our ability to implement multiple projects in multiple segments in record time, spoke by itself on our quality of delivery to our customer. To cap it all, we were recognised in the market for our contribution in the said domain.”

Eyes and ears of the industry
Atarw Technologies has been a participant at Bauma Conexpo India 2016 for a considerable time. From the company’s perspective, the show acts as the eyes and ears on construction industry vertical. Sharanappa feels that as a result of the expo, one can find manufacturer, end users, dealers and solution providers under one roof. The expo gives Atarw Technologies, an opportunity to understand challenges faced by each of the stakeholders and thus giving the company inputs to build better solution. According to Sharanappa, the expo is also an opportunity to mingle with likeminded people and appreciate and exchange notes.  For Atarw, this is gathering customer base and to influence them.
