JCB products manufactured in India are technologically and aesthetically are at par with developed markets and can be used in any part of the world.
Earthmoving and construction equipment (ECE) maker JCB today manufactures 48 variants in eight products categories ranging from backhoe loaders, mini excavators to heavy equipment like tracked excavators, wheeled loaders, compactors to the finest range of material handling equipment such as telehandlers, skid steer loaders and super loaders. JCB also offers a varied range of gensets.
“We have recently introduced our range of Telehandlers in India, a product that is revolutionising the material handling industry through its unique combination of safety, productivity and versatility,” informed Jasmeet Singh, Head – Corporate Communications and External Relations, JCB India Ltd. The Telehandler can place and lift loads, aggregates at varying heights depending on the applications. A host of attachments such as grabs, buckets and forks make this machine an unbeatable combination for material handling.
The skid steer loader is a compact, versatile product ideal to operate in a restricted area. Its ability to enter narrow by lanes and turn on its own axis makes it an ideal choice in areas where space is a challenge. Presently, they are used in various applications like construction and solid waste management. JCB offers two variants in this category – the Robot 135 and the Robot 115. JCB skid steers are regarded as world’s safest as they come with a unique side door entry. This enables the operator to enter the machine from the side in a conventional manner.
The attachments provided with this machine are vibratory roller, industrial grappler, industrial fork, muck fork and grab, shovel, dozer blade, snow blower, rock breaker, and sweeper collector.
The super loader is a perfect combination of value, versatility and performance. The machine is based on 2DX platform and comes with various attachments like multiple buckets, bagasse dozer, pallet fork, and bale grabber. The two variants of super loaders are already gaining popularity in industries like agro logistics, construction and process industries.
All these machines are ‘Made in India’ on the company philosophy of ‘One Global Quality’, said Jasmeet. “This means that products manufactured in India are technologically and aesthetically are at par with developed markets and can be used in any part of the world. These world-class products are sold not just in India but are also exported to over 65 countries across the world.”
Technological innovations
One of the noteworthy technological innovations in the Indian construction equipment industry came in 2015 with JCB India launching an advanced telematics system called the “JCB Livelink”. This system enables customers to remotely manage their machines. This state-of-the-art technology provides updates regarding service alerts, operations and security by using the geo fencing and time fencing features.
“Our machines are already fitted with JCB Livelink technology and customers with Livelink enabled machines get SMS alerts on their mobile phones or smart devices – the information is also available in real time regarding the health of the machine including engines on service, operations and security,” said Jasmeet.
To monitor these machines in real time, JCB has set up a world-class central command centre at its Delhi-NCR facility. “Our dealerships have also set up similar Livelink command centres to ensure that real time support is provided to the customers. Till date, over 25,000 Livelink enabled machines are working at Indian construction sites,” Jasmeet concludes.
