Jindal Star, a brand of D.P. Jindal Group, has been honoured with ‘India’s Most Trusted Brand Award 2016’ for the second consecutive time based on a survey conducted by IBC Infomedia Pvt Ltd, a division of IBC Infomedia Corporation, USA.
Hundreds of leading Indian brands were evaluated by the esteemed International Brand Council and more than 100 of the highest scoring brands were conferred with India’s Most Trusted Brand 2016 status. According to IBC Infomedia, only brands that achieve the level of recognition set by the Internre eligible for inclusion in the India’s Most Trusted Brand 2016 brand book, which traces the history and achievements of each of the brands. The selection was made out of a survey conducted on above 10,000 respondents across the country.
“It is a feeling of great honour to be awarded as India’s Most Trusted Brand for the second consecutive time. We believe in quality and have been in the market for more than 40 years. The award is a result of buying the best raw materials and a very strong network of sales and channel partners,” says Raghav Jindal, Managing Director, Jindal Pipes Limited.
Jindal Star also has been focusing on the timely delivery of the products. DP Jindal Group was recently awarded for on time delivery by Bharat Petroleum. Adding further Jindal says, “Quality and customer service are our top salient features. We also educate the users with the handling. This has helped to increase our sales.”
Jindal Star is one of the major manufacturers of ERW, black and galvanised steel pipes and tubes in India. It is also a pioneer to introduce large diameter ERW pipes in India up to 20-inch diameter with thickness of 12.7 mm.
Speaking about the manufacturing units of Jindal Star, he says, “Jindal Star has three manufacturing units located in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Nagothane (Maharashtra) and Bellary (Karnataka), with a production capacity of 5,00,000 MT ERW Pipes and Tubes with a thickness from 2.00 mm to 12.7 mm having an outer Diameter ranging from ½-inch to 20-inch NB as per specifications of IS, BS, API, ASTM, DIN, IBR which conforms to the various international standards. These products are widely used across various industries like agriculture, oil, refinery, public health, housing, irrigation, engineering, pluming, HVAC, fire fighting, tubular poles and structural etc.”
The company is also coming up with a manufacturing unit in Hyderabad. “The Hyderabad plant will start its production by the end of February this year,” adds Jindal. With the start of production in the Hyderabad plant, the company plans to target Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, Eastern states. Jindal Star is the pioneer of ERW pipes. The Hyderabad plant of the company similar to the Bellary plant will be ERW plant.
Sharing about the upcoming innovations in the pipes sector, Jindal says, “We are looking to make the most of any infrastructure development. Currently, there is a lot of usage of ERW pipes for infrastructure development, building construction, MEP, natural gas and even for oil supply.”
