Layher scaffolding uses a simple, unique and bolt free connection technology. Sliding the wedge head over the rosette and inserting the wedge into the opening immediately secures the component. There is still sufficient play to secure the other end of the ledger. A hammer blow to the wedge transforms the loose connection into a superbly strong structurally rigid one. The face of the wedge head is now precisely positioned against the standard.

To transfer pulling force, every frame is secured by locking pins or bolts to each other. In this way the tower can be assembled on the ground and placed by crane.

Success Story
Construction of façade scaffold about 90 metres high was a big challenge while executing the tallest building in Turkey. Not only has the corner and projected balcony of the building is challenge of this project.

By bracing the work scaffolding vertically with SpeedyScaf lattice beams, even the increased wind loads could be transferred without putting unnecessary strain on the structure.
With Layher Scaffolding Systems, the scaffolders had the ideal equipment for economical provision of scaffolding around the Façade 95 metres. Easy assembly and the use of a hoist meant that the assembly time was just five weeks. Thanks to the outstanding quality of Layher’s products, the lower assembly frames and the spindles can withstand enormous loads. Load bearing capacities of individual spindles (baseplate) are subjected to a weight of up to 5 tons.

During the construction the biggest challenge was posed by the recessed balconies on every second side of the building. Providing scaffolding around these drew on all the experience of the scaffolding erectors and flexibility of systems. But this problem too was quickly overcome with special structures.
Especially on irregular designs due different sizes of corner, the Allround/Speedyscaf Scaffolding impresses with its flexibility and the safe and easy handling.
