Liebherr’s components product group will debut LiXplore®, a new line of digital camera-monitor systems, at Bauma 2022. Users can pick between multiple versions and extra intelligent functions based on their needs. The digital smart camera MDC3 and display controller DC5 ensure the system’s robustness and quality. The LiXplore Bird’s Eye 360° digital camera system provides machine operators with a comprehensive surround picture of their working area.

The 360° version The LiXplore® Bird’s Eye model provides operators with a 360-degree view of their machine’s working area. The device combines images from four mounted cameras into a single bird’s-eye view. Compared to traditional, primarily analogue, surround vision solutions that necessitate an additional electronic control unit (ECU), the system is thus simple in design and inexpensively wired.

Aside from the traditional bird’s eye view, the system allows users to construct complex views and overlays based on their needs and attach the necessary function keys to the display. At the touch of a button, operators can switch between perspectives fast and intuitively.

MDC3 digital smart camera: the heart of the system
Liebherr relies on the high-performance MDC3 camera for the LiXplore product range. Even in very dark working surroundings and in volatile light situations ranging from bright to dark, the HDR capability continually assures high-contrast photographs with no overexposure or underexposure. The incredibly durable cameras result from years of experience in demanding industries such as construction or agricultural machinery.
