Ashok Tanna, Managing Director, Linnhoff India Pvt Ltd, speaks about his experience at the Bauma Conexpo 2016 and shares the company’s strategy for 2017 in the wake of the recent demonetisation.
Bauma a successful event for Linnhoff
Sharing about how the experience at Bauma Conexpo 2016 was, Tanna says, “The experience was one of a kind. I congratulate my team and the organisers of the event, for pulling off such an amazing show this year. Though the first day didn’t go as expected due to a public holiday, footfalls gradually picked up the succeeding 4 days. As always the response was overwhelming.”
Adding further, he said, “We are proud to have sold 4 of our plants (two MSD 3000 with HRC and two 120 cum/hr Concrete Batching Plant) on the spot and bagged more orders. Our order book is satisfactorily full as the year is coming to an end.”
Not all eggs in one basket
With the government changing policies, it is obvious that company’s policy will be framed with those guidelines. Demonetisation is a heated topic for the business world. When asked about the strategy that Linnhoff will apply, Tanna said, “Demonetisation has not adversely affected us in the industry. The new government is bringing in new reforms and policies which will prove fruitful in the long run. As for Linnhoff India, with 65 per cent of the market share, that forms our core business strength is in asphalt plants. However we don’t believe in putting all our eggs in one basket. In conclusion, he says, “Our mission is to be regarded as a one stop solution to our customers’ asset construction and maintenance needs by offering comprehensive products right from batching plants, concrete pavers, road maintenance equipment and surface miners through strategic alliance for sales and after sales in India and neighbouring countries.”
