Design sections are getting thinner and are subjected to increased bending moment and shear force and require new technologies to execute them, at times construction chemicals are seen as a tender item.”

User-friendly innovations
Today, there is an increasing demand of environment friendly construction chemicals. People also want user-friendly and easy to apply systems. According to Hasan Rizvi a shift has been seen towards using liquid applied membranes for waterproofing. He said, “With people getting environment cautious and laws pertaining to the environmental protection are getting stiffer, products with better performance and environment friendly are in demand.”

STP focuses on environment friendly non-toxic green products like ShaliUrethane BTD water based Polyurethane, UV stable elastomeric coating, TarFelt LM for various waterproofing applications, ShaliCem EWP – two component cementitious elastomeric coating.

Acceptance of advanced solutions
Speaking about the maturity of the Indian industry to make use of advanced construction materials optimally Hasan Rizvi says, “The Indian construction industry will require some more time to use advance construction chemicals optimally.”
