LiuGong’s electric uprising in European construction

LiuGong electrifies Europe with sustainable construction solutions, unveiling five new electric machines and targeting a top-ten market position by 2027.
During a press conference held at Intermat in Paris, France, LiuGong, a China-based company, unveiled its commitment to electric equipment and intelligent machinery, announcing the release of five new electric machines tailored for the European market. Among these releases are the 9027 FE and 922 FE excavators, alongside the 820 TE, 856 HE, and 870 HE wheeled loaders. Notably, the 856 HE boasts an impressive operational span of 10-12 hours on a single charge.
Howard Dale, serving as the chairman of LiuGong Europe, expressed the brand’s ambition to secure a position among the top ten construction equipment providers in Europe by the year 2027. With a repertoire encompassing 40 different models of electric equipment, including excavators, wheeled loaders, skid steer loaders, motor graders, rollers, and mining trucks, LiuGong showcases its dedication to sustainable innovation.
Initiating its electric equipment endeavors in 2014, LiuGong introduced its inaugural generation of electric machinery in 2018. Chairman Zeng, addressing attendees at the press conference, highlighted a significant reduction in the total cost of ownership of electric construction equipment by 50-70 percent over the past five years in China. Moreover, he underscored China’s prominence in the global battery electric vehicle market, noting a 70 percent increase in exports in 2023, reaching a value of US$34 billion.
