Ravindra Varma, Managing Director, Marsman India Ltd talks about his product launches at Excon and Marsman creating a customer base in India.

How your experience at Excon was and what products did you display?
Excon has always been the flag bearer for exhibiting products in the infrastructure world. The response has been phenomenal and we are very happy that we were present at the Excon and connected with many a wider set of audience. We displayed our entry level Track Mounted Screen with a capacity of 150 TPH, a ready to use modular cone crusher and a vertical shaft Impactor (VSI).

In the coming year, what are your key concerns and expectations? What is your outlook for the Indian construction sector in the year 2020?
Construction and infrastructure was suffering from a brief slowdown in 2019 and now government has come up with relief programs for the industry to tackle the problems. We have witnessed growth in the past couple of months and with new orders secured in Excon, we are very optimistic about 2020.

What kind of quality control processes enables you to stand tall even in markets like Europe and the UK?
We have always been exported oriented company. We have been exporting crushing plants either directly or as OEMs. So our quality process has been implemented on the basis on European standards. Marsman is a well-known brand in Europe. Our machines are still working strong after a decade of operation.

Having said that, how important is the Indian market in terms of the solutions you offer?
India will always be home to Marsman. We innovate our products, which are suitable to Indian needs and conditions. Our machines are running successfully in every corner of India be it Tamil Nadu or Nagaland. We are constantly evolving and integrating new products to cater wider customer base from Crushing to screening and washing sand.
