MEWP machines will drive the demand for access equipment

What is the current market trend for access equipment? How is the demand progressing? Access equipment’s demand is rising day by day. We are witnessing one of the biggest demand cycles for MEWP’s in India right now, and we feel this is just the beginning of the demand cycle.

What kinds of advancements are being made to the access equipment for better onsite performance and experience? Manufacturers of MEWP’s machines are always looking to improve the machines on the technology front. Currently, the new generation of machines are more fuel efficient and are compliant with emission standards around the world. With more additional safety features being added with technological advancements, the performance, experience, and reliability of the machines have increased in manifolds.

How is technology and advanced equipment enabling you to deal with shrinking project times while ensuring quality project completion? We are in the equipment rental business, rather than the project execution business. I think the customers using our machines would be in a better position to elaborate on how the technology and advanced equipment are helping to improve the quality of the project. All the technology advancements are based on the demand and requests of our customers.

The government is focusing more on indigenous production of construction equipment to reduce import dependency. How is your industry responding to this trend? The MEWP industry has only one manufacturer making it in India. And I think OEM’s across the globe should grab this opportunity to manufacture MEWP’s in India. Our industry would welcome any OEM that wants to manufacture in India.
