Organica Biotech is a premium environment biotech company working in the realms of waste water treatment, sanitation, agriculture and aquaculture. The company claims that their efforts have pushed them to the pedestal of being “among top 20 environment biotech companies in the world” according to the survey conducted by OMICS International.

Poor biomass development leads to array of issues

One of the common problems experienced in an ill-functioning waste water treatment plant is that of poor biomass development. Poor biomass development may lead to an array of issues including poor settling, high maintenance cost, reduced stability of ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), lowered reduction of COD and BOD levels, high TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and extreme foaming.

Biomass development depends heavily on the presence of appropriate nutrients. Carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus are crucial elements governing microbial growth. These nutrients, when present in appropriate quantities, facilitate maximal maximum growth.

Disadvantages of additive biomass

Conventional additives for biomass formation include cow dung, jaggery, urea and Diammonium Phosphate (DAP). There are certain disadvantages associated with the use of these inputs which are as follow:

  • High cost and poor quality of industrial grade urea DAP.
  • Majority of fertilizer grade urea is available in neem coated. Neem is an antibacterial compound deterring the growth of microbes.
  • Difficulty in storage and high cost of transportation.
  • Under-anoxic conditions, ammonia formation takes place.
  • Un-utilised urea-DAP when discharged along with treated effluent, causes a serious threat to environment.
  • Unknown set of microbes introduced in system as cow dung.

Microbster alleviates undesirable effects

Organica Biotech has developed a revolutionary, eco friendly input for biomass development named Microbster to alleviate the undesirable effects. Its dosage requirement is 1/4th of that of urea-DAP. Microbster not only enhances MLSS development but also aids in COD and BOD reduction. Gel form of the product facilitates its easy transportation and storage. Microbster is highly soluble in water and harbours a remedial mix of elemental compounds stimulation microbial growth.
