The MSD multi-stage, high pressure centrifugal pump series is the latest design in FEDCO pumps that cover flows and pressures found in brackish and seawater reverse osmosis (RO) applications. Constructed of Duplex stainless steel (SS)this series can be used in virtually every RO application including container and portable systems, hotel and resorts, industrial, municipal, marine and offshore, mining, and power plant use.

Features:
The MSD model pump is loaded with unique features for reliable operation. The patented water bearing product lubricated bearing technology is featured in all FEDCO pumps. The lower capacity models are a multi-stage horizontal Duplex SS shell design and the higher capacity models are a multi-stage Duplex SS bolted stage design (shown in picture). This pump comes standard for horizontal installation, but can also be installed vertically. The feed inlet can be rotated 90 degree to easily fit into any RO skid design. The optional base plate features precision levelling feet for easy alignment. All MSD pumps can be equipped with a high inlet pressure capability with standard mechanical seals.

Applications:
Duplex stainless steel construction of the MSD pump make this corrosion-resistant design ideal for seawater applications. Precision investment cast stages are standard in Duplex Alloy 2205, but also available in Super Duplex Alloy 2507 for the most challenging applications. Easy operation and a maintenance-free design ensure years of trouble-free operation. If one needs a fast delivery, most MSD models have a lead time of 6-8 weeks.

The new standard in seawater RO packages is the MSD multi-stage duplex pump with the FEDCO model HPB energy recovery turbocharger. The HPB can be mounted on an optional extended pump base plate or located anywhere in the RO system to minimise piping. FEDCO has several offerings for brackish water RO in addition to the MSD series pump. Pumps and energy recovery turbocharger devices, including motorised turbochargers for challenging membrane operations.
