MYCRANE Expands Operations in India During Conex Trade Show, Leveraging Tech for Construction Efficiency.
MYCRANE, an online crane rental platform, has announced the launch of its wholly-owned operations in India on the first day of the Conex construction trade show, currently being held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, recently.
Significant investment from a Series A round has enabled MYCRANE to initiate a global expansion, utilising technology solutions to enhance efficiency across the broader construction sector.
In India, MYCRANE’s operations will be managed by experienced local partners: Rajiv Waichal, based in Pune, Maharashtra, and Ganesh M. Patil, situated in Surat, Gujarat. Subsequent expansion across India is planned in the coming months.
Andrei Geikalo, the founder and CEO of MYCRANE, remarked, “India is anticipated to be one of the fastest-growing major economies in 2023 and for the next five years. Whether it is the substantial order of new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, the construction of new semiconductor facilities in Gujarat, or the numerous infrastructure projects in Mumbai, India’s ascent is indisputable.”
He added, “This growth is being propelled by digitalization, which is evident to any visitor here, with QR codes at every modest food stall and the widespread adoption of mobile phone payments. MYCRANE is thrilled to establish its presence in one of the world’s most dynamic commercial markets during such an exciting period.”
Both Rajiv Waichal and Ganesh M. Patil, seasoned industry experts, previously held positions at Reliance Industries Ltd, a multinational conglomerate engaged in energy, petrochemicals, and other sectors, and the largest private sector corporation in India.
Rajiv Waichal was responsible for after-sales service at Tadano Cranes Pvt Ltd and also worked at Terex India Pvt Ltd. Ganesh M. Patil, a certified mechanical engineer with two decades of experience in material handling equipment and heavy commercial vehicles, had previous employment with OEMs and crane manufacturers such as Tractors India Limited, Grove, and Manitowoc.
MYCRANE, headquartered in Dubai, currently boasts a user base of more than 3,000 registered customers and offers access to over 15,000 cranes for hire through its free-to-use platform.
