BEML supplied 205E electric dump truck to NCL (Northern Coal Fields) during December 2018. It successfully clocked 4300 hours with a cumulative availability of around 95 per cent. This equipment is working in Amlori Coal Mine of NCL at Singrauli area.
This is the highest capacity of dump truck ever made in India. Under the Make-in-India campaign, India’s first indigenously developed BEML Dump Truck weighs 340 Tons when fully loaded but easily maneuverable with power steering. The State-of-the-art AC drive system has been engineered to provide exceptional haul-road performance with reduced maintenance. It has a spacious cabin with easy-to-read instrumental panel and electrically operated seat for driver’s comfort and is fitted with Hydraulic Caliper Disc Brakes to meet safety standards.
“With the introduction of new generation dump truck, BEML has reached another milestone in its R&D efforts. This will ensure self-reliance, enhanced productivity in mining operations and increased production apart from optimizing costs”, said Shri Deepak Kumar Hota, CMD, BEML. Earlier, BEML has supplied 150Ton Dump Truck with similar features to SECL (South Eastern Coal Fields Ltd) Bilaspur.
