NORD earns a silver EcoVadis certificate. The rating agency EcoVadis rated NORD again this year.

The drive specialist earned 68 out of 100 points and received the silver sustainability certificate. Compared to past years, the company has improved and is much above the industry average.

“In the combined assessment, we rank among the top four percent of the manufacturer group assessed by EcoVadis”, explains Jörg Niermann, Head of Marketing at NORD. “This positive development is also a result of our sustainability strategy.” Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG from Bargteheide placed first in the Environment category and eleventh in the Sustainable Procurement Division.

Expansion of the sustainability activities
“We aim to harmonise economic efficiency and sustainability”, says Jörg Niermann. “Based on our Company Policy, we act with integrity and responsibility for the environment – locally and globally.“ Since 2021, NORD has reported its sustainability efforts in accordance with the German Sustainability Code (DNK). NORD is actively creating a sustainability network within its ten largest subsidiaries. From 2025, there will be a worldwide sustainability report that includes crucial information for all subsidiaries. In terms of quality and the environment, the organisation adheres to recognised ISO management standards. Furthermore, the corporation has joined the UN Global Compact and is committed to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
