PEB demand soars as tier 2 & 3 cities fuel logistics growth
.

Everest Steel Building Solutions provides quick, tailored PEB and warehousing solutions using proprietary design tools, BIM workflows, and automated production. It provides top clients with long-term, high-performance solutions across India’s changing infrastructure landscape.

How do you view the current demand trends in the PEB and warehousing segment?
The Indian PEB industry is witnessing a significant surge, driven by structural shifts in supply chain dynamics, the expansion of organised warehousing, and the rising penetration of 3PL and 4PL logistics operators. From a demand standpoint, we see sustained growth across sectors like e-commerce, cold storage, pharma, and Agri-logistics. Furthermore, government initiatives under the PM Gati Shakti and National Logistics Policy are catalysing infrastructure development in non-metro geographies. Clients today demand faster turnaround times, cost optimisation, and performance consistency—precisely where pre-engineered steel structures excel over conventional RCC construction.

Everest has delivered landmark projects for marquee clients like Reliance, Patanjali, IFB, and IndiGo. What sets your PEB offerings apart in terms of design innovation, customisation, and speed of execution?
Everest Steel Building Solutions leverages a tech-enabled, design-to-delivery model powered by proprietary engineering software, integrated BIM workflows, and a centralised design cell comprising over 150 structural engineers. We adopt advanced design practices such as finite element analysis (FEA) for complex geometries, optimised section profiling for load-to-weight efficiency, and value engineering for every project. Our manufacturing facilities have CNC-driven roll formers and automated H-beam welding lines, ensuring precision and high throughput. This enables us to offer tailored structural solutions optimised for span, live/dead load, seismic zones, and thermal performance while significantly compressing project timelines through Just-In-Time (JIT) supply and modular erection methodologies.

Tell us more about the SS 470 Roof Sheeting and Everest Evercool—what makes them significant in today’s construction climate, especially in warehousing and temperature-sensitive projects?
The SS 470 standing seam roof system is engineered for high-performance industrial roofing applications. Its 470 mm cover width and concealed-fix design deliver superior water tightness and wind uplift resistance (tested per ASTM E1592 standards). Thermal movement is accommodated via a floating clip system without through-fasteners, reducing stress concentration and leakage risk.

Everest Evercool is a thermal-efficient roofing solution featuring heat-reflective pigments and low thermal emissivity coatings. It reduces solar heat gain by 8–10°C under peak summer conditions, significantly lowering HVAC loads for temperature-sensitive environments like cold storage, FMCG warehouses, and pharma facilities. These systems contribute to energy efficiency and compliance with IGBC/LEED green building norms.

With growing demand in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities for logistics parks and storage infrastructure, how is Everest tailoring its solutions to these emerging markets?
We are decentralising our execution capabilities to improve responsiveness in non-metro markets. Our approach includes pre-configured modular warehouse kits engineered for regional loading conditions (IS 875/IS 1893), faster deployment, and cost efficiency. We also offer hybrid systems integrating solar-ready roofing, ridge ventilators, turbo vents, and skylights for enhanced daylighting and energy conservation.

Furthermore, our regional design and project coordination hubs ensure reduced lead times in drawings, statutory approvals, and mobilisation. For developers in logistics parks, we also provide multi-bay warehouse solutions with clear spans up to 60 meters and eave heights of 12+ meters, suited for racking systems and high-density storage.

How do you support EPCs and PMCs in the pre-bid and tendering, especially for government or public-private partnership (PPP) projects?
We provide comprehensive pre-bid technical consultancy, including preliminary GA drawings, structural framing schemes, material take-offs, and rate benchmarking for tender BOQs. We ensure compliance with CPWD, MoRTH, and GRIHA norms applicable to PPP and government-led infrastructure tenders.

Our design teams assist EPCs and PMCs in preparing structural justifications, thermal performance simulations, and sustainability narratives for scoring higher on technical qualification metrics. Our proven credentials in executing projects for agencies like DRDO, AAI, and Indian Railways position us as a credible and compliant structural steel partner for government bids.

What initiatives has Everest taken to reduce the carbon footprint of its manufacturing and project execution processes?
Our sustainability roadmap encompasses upstream and downstream operations. We manufacture high-recycled-content steel, energy-efficient machinery, and rainwater harvesting systems. We’ve integrated Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) metrics into our material sourcing strategy to reduce embodied carbon.

On-site, we advocate for dry construction, lean material logistics, and minimal concrete usage in foundations via optimised base plate and anchor bolt designs. Everest is actively exploring solar-integrated roofing systems and zero-waste fabrication models using ERP-driven nesting and offcut reuse. These initiatives contribute to ESG compliance and support clients pursuing green certifications.
