Pidilite introduces LW+Super concrete additive

Pidilite Industries Ltd, the construction chemicals and adhesives manufacturer in India, has launched Dr. Fixit LW+Super, to resolve the issues faced with the usage of M-sand. The company said that the product will be available in the market by mid-September. LW+Super, when mixed with M-sand, offers superior quality concrete which results in increased lifespan of a building, the company said in a statement.
The company also claimed that the mixture would increase the workability of the crushed sand mortar by 30 per cent water reduction in the mix, resist corrosion of steel in concrete, increase the strength and durability of the structure, and waterproof the concrete and mortar. Its plasticising properties can make mortar cohesive and prevent segregation, which would give it improved adhesion to surface resulting in less shrinkage cracks in plaster and reduce rebound loss during plastering by about 50 per cent. It would also improve the integral waterproofing properties of cement, concrete and plasters after curing, resulting in longer life of the building.
