Technical Operations Officer, Reactore
Prasad Ganta, Technical Operations Officer, Reactore interacts with B2B Purchase about his views on how 2017 will turn out to be for the Indian construction industry, his projections about the business and explains the strategies that will be undertaken to achieve those targets.
Mining industry to leverage technology benefits
“Mining, being one of the largest contributors towards the industrial sector of the Indian economy, is recovering well from the challenges faced recently in the commodity sector. Now that FDI inflows have been permitted up to 100 per cent under automatic route in the mining industry, its growth is expected to shoot up rapidly,” says Prasad.
He further adds, “Where companies were busy acquiring mines in 2016, the real action of setting up systems and starting mine operations would be witnessed 2017 onwards. Along with the mines, the construction industries also have shown their interest in adopting the latest technology to automate operations and reduce manual efforts. In short, the Indian mining and construction industry is looking forward to leverage the benefits of latest technology and the 4th industrial revolution to maximise on productivity and efficiency.”
Getting a hold on the market
When asked about the projections Prasad has for his business, he says, “We are motivated and striving to bring a digital transformation in the mining and construction industry in India. We’ve been working closely with mining companies in India and abroad having spent 3 years performing feasibility studies and active research and development in building our product until it was market ready. We started marketing our product in India in April 2016. From the time we introduced our product in the main stream market of mining and construction, we’ve been getting immense positive responses from different companies of all sizes.”
Throwing light on the specific targets set for Reactore, he says, “As we see a huge opportunity of our solution implementation in India, our focus in 2017 lies strongly in capturing the Indian market. We are targeting all big players in the mining and construction industry.”
Listen, understand and analyse
“In terms of business development we have already attended various conferences and trade shows. The response has been phenomenal thus far and we will continue to pursue this course of action,” says Prasad about the strategies that will be used to realise the set targets.
Prasad further adds, “In terms of delivering the solution, the first step is to listen, understand and analyse the problems that the clients face with their operations and existing systems. We also acknowledge that every mine is different in terms of its operations and resources, and fine tune our implementation accordingly. Since our product provides real-time data of overall activities carried out within the mines, it makes it simple for the decision makers and the managers to have an overview of all the operations from a single system. Our unique 3D visualisation of operations transforms the way that users engage with software.”
Services by Reactore
When asked about the services provided to Foyer Construction Ltd, the company’s first client in India, Prasad says, “Foyer is a mining aggregate company that supplies the construction industry. Their existing system of material delivery management involved a series of complex undertakings which were neither integrated nor automated thus leaving huge scope for inefficiency. In order to reduce complexity and ensure streamlined materials management and logistics, Foyer resolved to have a system that allows them to minimise manual efforts at different stages and automate the processes for a seamless experience of materials delivery for their client base.”
He further adds, “Once the solution is implemented, Foyer will be able to establish an automated ‘end to end sales and distribution cycle’ in its arena. This implementation will be an introduction to a fundamental change in the sand industry, benefitting Foyer at large.”
Benefits of Foyer:
• Established customer trust and satisfaction
