A leading producer of Asphalt mixing plant, the company is recognized as one of the oldest in the sector of construction industry. In an email interaction, Ashok Tanna, Managing Director, Linnhoff India Pvt Ltd shares about the achievements of the company. Excerpts from his interview:

Recent performance
When asked about the recent performance of the construction equipment industry, Tanna replied, “Despite being stagnant for the last four years in India, the industry is showing signs of recovery backed by increased NHAI and government spending on infrastructure and building more smart cities. Currently the market for road construction equipment is expected to rise to a $16 billion from its present level of $3 billion. This indicates a growth of about 25 per cent from its current levels.” Tanna also expects that the growing demand for concrete will also create increased need for concrete machinery in the building projects.

Promising year ahead
Sharing about how the calendar year 2016 was for the company, Tanna said, “Being a specialist in Asphalt and concrete batch manufacturing plants, the Asphalt industry in India has, so far, matched our expectations, both in terms of growth and opportunities. Riding on the unprecedented growth in road construction activities in the recent past, our production capacities are fully booked. The years ahead looks promising, especially since the industry is coming up with lot of investments in the road sector.”

Well-planned approach
“We recently created a milestone by crossing Rs 100 crore production in one year and hope to create more such milestones in the future. Furthermore, we have started Mobile App based platform for productivity enhancement and control. It encompasses the full cycle from start of production to maintenance to resource management which is site specific ending with report generation for live feedback,” said Tanna about the achievements of Linnhoff during the year.
